5-5-2

We lost to Azusa Pacific Univeristy (Ranked #1 in the Nation for the NAIA) 3-1 on Tuesday @ Azusa. My squad is currently losing the battle to injury - due to lack of numbers - but every game my girls play with heart and leave it all out there on the field. I'm excited that we are still able to compete against these high ranked teams - the GSAC is nationally the most competitive league in the NAIA. I'm stoked to be a part of this HIU program as we become a team that isn't just looked over during scouting reports but a team that is a force to be reckoned with in the years to come.

clipping from APU's "Cougars end any Hope" by Jason Cannon:
The Royals (5-5-2) of past years may have simply rolled over and gone away but not this year’s edition. Nicole Collins tied the game in the 20th minute as she dribbled the ball up the right side and slotted the ball far post out of the reach of Jill Colfer.
Collins has been an explosive scorer for the Royals all season and her sixteenth goal of the season this afternoon continues to lead the GSAC.

Of all the GSAC colleges and universities, APU was my favorite venue to play. The field is well kept, the sidelines well manicured, and the mountanous scenery gave it a touch of perfection. The next time I step foot on that field will be my senior year.

HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY SERENA!!
Serena was anxious excited all day because her boyfriend, Chris, was flying to Orange County to visit her on the day of her birth. I definitely approve, by the way - Chris is incredibly cute and sweet AND he wants to be a Pastor.

Dinner at the Commons tonight was the "Chef Road Show" - it's where various culinary artists show off their skills and serve us tons of fine foods that we've never heard of nor can we pronounce. I had duck and caviar for my first time - not together, of course.

Knott's Scary Farm
A couple dozen - and some - of us went to Knott's for their Haunted festivities. How I became treasurer?, I do not know - but how could you say no to the birthday girl? I was carrying around nearly $700 cash for a couple days to buy 27 or so tickets - you could have tagged me the most paranoid coley ever (if you know me I never get paranoid - but the cash was a new factor). After a couple rides and a handful of haunted houses I will admit that I jumped out of my skin twice - and, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I never yelled, screamed, shrieked or squealed.
