training camp begins

I checked into HIU @ 3 and we started our first fitness test at 4. I guess we're not wasting any time this year =). Jeremiah, a player on the men's team, is a cook at Roadhouse Grill in Whittier, so both the teams had dinner together the first night - it was a good time. We had entrees to choose from such as choice sirloin and t-bone steak - pretty sweet. The next morning we had our first practice at 7am and the guys began at 8. After practice we all went to Soccer Central to buy new kicks for the new season - and, really, any gear that we wanted. Cal State Fullerton Women's team had cleaned them out of Adidas Copa Mundial so I had to place an order and now wait a week or so for them to arrive. We get a sweet deal on the cleats though - fifty bucks off and then an additional 30% for adidas. The copa's came to $27 - no joke!
