W League

Gaels info.

I made the roster for the Chicago Gaels. We had a 4-2 opening win Sunday at home against Fort Wayne Fever from Indiana. Just like in MLS, in the USL when a player is substituted that player is done and can no longer return to the game. This usually results with minimal substitutions and the starters playing a full 90 minutes. I saw 30 minutes in the second half. We play the Minnesota Lightning @ the University of Minnesota this Saturday -- hopefully I make the roster again, we'll see.

What is a Gael? I was wondering the same thing. Here's what it says on Wikipedia.

Tami and I climbed the tree in my front yard. We pretty much mastered it. The neighborhood is perfect for long runs -- I've found two parks within a few miles. Juggling outside never gets old -- its been awhile since I've had to move out of the street so cars can pass by. I feel like I'm 10 -- with the exception of getting called in for dinner... or having dinner prepared for me.

I open at Jamba. 6am nearly every morning. Usually get Sundays off. And gamedays.

It rained pretty well last week. My roommate Torre and I went running the next morning and some of the bike trails were flooded, which made it impossible to continue without getting wet. Since Torre had new running shoes on, I volunteered to let her piggy-back and I trekked through the water. That night it thunderstormed. The next morning I went on the same run, but this time on my own. When I came to the puddle I didn't hesitate and I splashed right threw it. But upon finishing it, I approached an even bigger and deeper puddle just a handful of feet ahead. WHY DIDN'T I LOOK UP TO SEE WHAT WAS JUST AHEAD? I could have avoided this dilemma of being caught between two puddles. So I had a decision to make: continue and run the remaining miles home with damp shorts, wet socks and drenched shoes, or go back the other way and endure soggy shoes. (If only my adidas could speak for themselves). I chose soggy shoes. Application? -- you decide... I have some ideas.
