Collins Christmas collection trailers!

Jon and I spent yesterday putting together a Christmas collection of home videos. Below are all trailers. There is probably over a hundred hours worth of work yet to be done with the home videos altogether. We could have used another day or so to polish up most of the DVD. Some of the film needs to be color corrected, and the DVD menu we put together is kind of cheesy -- same with the DVD cover I made =)... but it all is home-made looking AND I LOVE IT. Enjoy.

Christmas '90

Collins Christmas Eve party at Grandpa Bob and Grandma Betty's. My first and only white Christmas. It's a Nintendo game -- or a wallet?

Christmas '90 II

Jon regrets not wearing pants. Mom regrets not wearing a... NICOLE DON'T!

Christmas '89

This one needs to be color corrected. We kind of forgot and were too lazy to go back. The original film is a still camera shot of almost an hour (a.k.a BOOORING!!) Jon digitized about 30 minutes of it and we didn't know what to do with it... I decided to play it in fast-forward and Jon found a speedy tune to play to it. I think it turned out sweet.

The film we used for the DVD menu (not shown here) was also a still camera shot. Mom and Dad were in a fight, so Dad set up the camera to record how ridiculous Mom sounded. I was 4 years old and stole the show, running up to the lens. The shot of me looked staged. I think Dad was a silent pioneer of reality television.

Christmas '88

What do you want for Christmas? We are with some Audett-side cousins at Grandpa Howard and Grandma Pairlee's (Gblock) home -- before the remodeling (I almost didn't recognize the living room). WAZZLE BEWWY DWESSING!

Easter '88

The Keith Green song "Asleep in the Light" was inspired, obviously, by Dad's corny quote to Beau, "Jesus rose from the Grave and you can't even get out of bed." Although Dad was joking around, Keith was not. The conflict between Keith Green's intense song and our Easter Egg hunt creates a perfectly awkward feeling. The message can be interpreted to be powerful, but was not intended.

In case anyone watches these....I just want to say that you might not want to give your old home videos to your children. You never know what might be on the many videos that are accumulated through the years and you never know what they might do with them!!
