My randomness...
Prison Break is more than a gorgeous Michael Scofield and a really sweet tattoo. It is one of the most stressful serial television shows and I LOVE IT. After watching the complete first season, I noticed that it shares several themes with LOST -- probably a good explanation for its success. Just a few: forced environment, escape/rescue, survival, strangers united by common goal, alliances and loyalties, AND TONS OF EUCATASTROPHES (good catastrophes that are seemingly the demise of the protagonist, but actually revamp the story and aid progression to the plot). Tolkien was the master of this technique with The Hobbit and LOTRs.
After opening the store this morning I congregrated with fellow Jamba team members at the Lincolnshire Hampton Inn conference room for 3 hours to earn my Training Mentor Certification and Pin... and a raise of 25 pennies per hour... advancement is advancement!! that should take care of taxes -- even when I only have two more days of work left. There are 40 new Jamba Juice's opeining in the city of Chicago alone within the next couple years. wow.
All of the neighbors' open wireless internet signals ARE DOWN =(. I'm posting from Panera. My roommate and Harry Potter fanatic Torre accompanied me last night as she attempted to write a culmination paper to her Bioethics summer course, but a mom and daughter at the table next to us are spoiling tidbits from one of the books that she has yet to finish. Downtwon Naperville, a member of the West Suburbrs near Wheaton, has transformed one of its commercial hotspots into a real life Hogsmeade. Torre is already there, along with -- I imagine -- thousands of others who have preordered the book and are waiting in a line at Borders or Barnes for the 12:01am release.
The Chicago Gaels season ends tomorrow.
