Gblock and I talked today and she told me that I was lacking in the blogging department, so you can blame her for the following nonsense! =) It's all true, though.
I have 44.1 GB of free space on my laptop.
A random guy on campus admitted to Tami that he was stealing my Chicago Tribune. If I remember right, he did apologize.
I set up my TIU voice mailbox system and I had 17 new messages. That’s an all-time record.
A voicemail from a Seminary resident indicated that my New York Times was being delivered to her room. That explains a lot.
Jessica is faxing me comm course syllabi from Hope so that I can properly schedule my classes next semester AND GRADUATE ON TIME (spring 2008). Registration is on the 15th.
The comm Chair stepped in as my advisor, since prof Lindholm is at home recovering from her pregnancy, and she tried to sell me on a $3000+ trip to Spain. They should warn you or something. The idea that it fulfills up to 9 credits is attractive, but I really would rather spend my Spring Break with Nicky.
We play Olivet Nazarene University tomorrow at 11:30am for the NCCAA Regional Semifinal. We lost to them in conference 1-0. There was a storm delay in the 2nd half that lasted nearly an hour. We sang a cappella in the men’s football shower - great acoustics - to kill time. I got a soft red card for calling the ref and idiot after the game.
Coach Kelvin drove me to Health Services. The nurse said the Doctor is out until the 14th and I proved to her that I had received my second Measles vaccination in 1996. Good thing or I would have left with a whole in my arm and $20 poorer.
I tried to donate blood today in the Lew center. I’m pretty sure I’ve never donated blood before unless it was to some lab that was doing tests to find out what was wrong with me. Last year I volunteered but they didn’t let met because I had a broken finger. This year they wouldn’t let me because I have a low red blood cell count. I have symptoms of anemia: excessive sleep, consistent headaches, little energy BUT TODAY I FEEL AMAZING compared to the last 30.
I didn’t follow the election this year but was able to get a nearly complete play-by-play in Media thanks to prof Fleming this morning. She likes to humiliate students who don’t keep up on their newspaper reading and, well, I’m a pretty easy target (thanks to Mr. Tribune stealer and Mr. NYT deliverer who can‘t get my address straight). Fleming is also the Communication/English Chair. I’m not going to Spain!
85% of TIU students are engaged or married by the time they graduate. WHAT!?!?
In my dream last night I got married and my brother Jon bought me a sweet house in a city that was either Portland or Seattle or neither. At my wedding there was a water-fall and we played indoor soccer (actually it was futsal) - I played with my veil intact and the groom wasn’t even there. Weird. He was at my sweet house though. We went on a cruise for our honeymoon and I fell overboard.
I ate a Dove dark chocolate candy and read the wrapper: “sing to the elevator music.” Hmm. Ok. Who writes those anyway???
An Angus Yoli from India wrote to my private email asking if I would enter into a business venture with him.
A West Coast pre-Xmas in the Midwest Excerpt (breathe)
Initially the lights were wrapped around me as if I were a human Christmas tree on display for the Trinity Hall parking lot, but now they adorn our entryway. The blue light on the end of the first strand was burnt out… then, mysteriously, went the blue light on the second strand. The green lights on the second flickered, but the green lights on the first didn’t, that is, until they were plugged into the first strand. It’s annoying how that works. They looked as if they’re dancing, though, so I blared some facebook Itunes techno music. Jesse dressed up in the ketchup costume worn by Christine on Halloween and did a little jig to the tune “weird science” in the entryway. Serena and Abby came back tired and dismal from the library late the other night only to be greeted by the glowing red and greens and blues and pinks and oranges. There’s nothing like Christmas lights to cheer you up.
