D J W W

so this summer Jessica bought me a W.W.J.D. bracelet at John's Christian Stores and I've worn it ever since. the last time i remember having one was when i was like 10. currently I wear it every soccer game, that is, up until my 5th against william penn. The ref asked me to take it off. he didn't boot me off the field, though, which is typically what happens. he just took it from me and gave it to a player on my bench.

it's black, but i wear it inside-out so that its white with black letters. not for any particular reason, i've just never seen a white one before. one of my teammates noticed that it reads "D.J.W.W" now that it's flipped. I hadn't noticed that before, but I immediately replied with a telling smile, "yeah, i know, it means 'do just what you want." so if you find that you and your bracelet are not getting along... well, then, just flip it inside-out. =) kidding.

the comic above is one of a collection created by nikki's, my hallmate from Connecticut, youth pastor. Posted by Picasa

that is because Jesus can do what He wants, its the answer to the flip side. But you have to know Him to know what He wants, so then you can do what Jesus would do.

i wonder if the youth pastor knows that Jesus is God, i feel sorry for the kids in his youth group - not a very high view of our sovereign, holy, all knowing, ever present, just, perfect, holy, loving, kind, beyond our understanding and amazing God!

Hi Jessica,
I miss you! I was checking back to see if Nicole saw my comment. Maybe you will check this before she does. She is a little slow on updating. I am going to Chicago next week for a couple of days. Wish you were there, or rather, - wish Nicole was in Cali! If you read this, send me your email address. Mine is danicecollins@msn.com.
