Renee, my 'keep, had ticks to the LA Galaxy opening game on Saturday night so jess and I piled into her brand new mustang and headed off to the Home Depot Center (this is a soccer game, by the way... also known as the MLS - major league soccer). Ha. So I had gone to the opening game last year with Craigers, Andy and Danny and LANDON DONOVAN, a sweet player, was unusually sporting num. 21. Since it is also my number I planned on buying a Donovan Galaxy jersey... but when I got the Galaxy team store all of the Donovan shirts had num. 10 - boo. Incredibly dissapointing... I guess though if you're that good you can choose to have your number, and 10 happened to be his before he was moved to LA. So I didn't get a jersey and I didn't even find an old one on ebay - bummer. Andy is trying to find one with his connections with Soccer Central (a chain of stores like Soccer West for all of you woarshingtonians) - but I'm not too sure about it. Galaxy lost to the New England Revolution - NE dominated pretty much the entire game. Galaxy did not play well and had no offensive energy until the final 5 or so minutes of the game - it was definitely a bust. Too little too late, huh. What's nice about being in California is that I get the op to see MLS games - there's no team from WA. Annnnnd there's the Chicago Fire too!! yEAh!. Galaxy and Fire play this Saturday.
