my entire life fits in my prelude

I'M HOME!
sorry I didn't tell you... i didn't really tell anyone... except christine and then later jessica.... I CHANGED MY MIND WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON and called mom, told her to catch a flight thursday because I wanted to go home.

we went out to eat with coach Emily before I left - chipotle, of course

friday morning I said goodbye to HIU @ 5am

it was a fun trip (fun is mom's word) - two days was the plan, just taking it slow and easy and comfortably. we departed Fullerton around 5:30am. when we were passing through northern california I randomly took the downtown Sacramento exit and declared to mom "were visiting Awwwnold the Governator"... she didn't seem too excited about the idea at first, but after roaming the gorgeous capital lawn and building she was impressed. we didn't get to see Awwwnold as planned - I just wanted to let him know I enjoyed living in California and that I didn't think he did too shabby of a job... I would have left out that I hadn't planned on voting for him during the next election. instead, when mom was in the restroom, I talked to his bodyguard in front of his office. I pointed above him and said "Governor is spelled wrong" and he turned around and looked and then turned back to me with a curious look and then I said "isn't it GovernATOR?!" - i think he cracked a smile, but it turned to an awkward moment quickly.
there was a display in the capital building for each county in California - i found ORANGE!! hiu didn't make it on the map, but we are just south of the CSUF penant, close to the 57 freeway sign, then just south of that is the anaheim angels stadium.
we made it to Redding around 4pmish and I wasn't ready to call it a day, so we soldiered on. what were we gonna do in a hotel room for the rest of the evening anyway? (blog, I guess =). i gave the driving up to mom at this point (after 11 hours i was ready for the passenger seat). @ 9 we were in eugene and stopped to feed the 'lude, swapped again and I finished off the day's driving and we arrived at Jon and Tristen's place in Portland around 11pm.

i was so tired that I couldn't fall asleep. but, eventually, mind and body gave into both comforters (i really did use two). I woke around 8:30am with a hangover - realized I couldn't function and went back to sleep for 3 more hours. Tristen made us amAzing smoothies and then we went shopping on trendy-third (23rd) street. it was sweet, mom bought me a new hat at urban.

we grabbed lunch at the sandwich depoe and brought it home to Jonners who just got off work @ sbux. it was a sweet time - just sitting around the table on their back yard patio and catching up and eating the biggest sandwiches on earth. i miss them so much already. they are going to Hawaii pretty soon with the Yamamotos.

mom and I hit the road that evening and made it home at 8pm.

jack made it home too...
