moving to the windy city

well, actually, it's just north of the windy city. Next year I will be attending Trinity International University where I plan to continue to pursue my Communication major and where I will be playing soccer - and soccer ONLY. TIU is in Deerfield, Illinois near Lake Michigan AND Michael Jordan lives just 5 minutes away - just thought that was an interesting little bit of information =).

both satellite pictures below are taken at the same distance above the ground (alt 7527 ft). it can be observed, then, that the TIU campus is just as big as the CSUF campus (and the shape of its perimeter resembles that of the state of California =) Notice how small HIU is compared to CSUF. These campuses are 2017 miles away, a road trip with no stops would take at least 30 hours - and that's optimistic.


If you've been keeping up, you know that I am going to be in Chicago for the summer working for Missionary Athletes International, and I also will spend most the month of June in Germany. I have been asked to update everyone about this summer's itenerary, as it is still being formulated the following is all I've got:


This summer ministry opportunity will challenge players to raise the level of their game and to grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ.

Schedule:
May 30 - June 4: Training Camp
June 5 - June 21: Germany World Cup Tour
June 22 - July 29: Local outreach, camps, soccer training, and matches

Each participant will be involved in the Chicago Eagles Sports Ministry Training Curriculum, local outreach, camp ministry, soccer training and matches.

Each participant will have the opportunity to serve at a maximum of four camps. Participants will develop their coaching skills and Biblical leadership through sharing the message of Jesus Christ with children and families.

Each participant will be involved in formal training sessions and matches for top-level collegiate men and women that will refine their soccer skills during the summer months.


When I find out more information about our trip to Germany I will be sure to keep you updated! Sorry I don't have any more information.
