yep! another summer as an insider at Papa John's, really it's not so bad. I'm actually still having fun working, but mom thinks its going to wear out soon. Susan Kelley and mom stopped by to visit me at work... well really I had borrowed moms car and she had left something in it... but i like the idea that they swung by to see me instead better. mom comes in and looks for me then starts laughing. thanks mom. is the PJ's outfit really thaaaaat bad?? she thinks I look funny. i think the customers might care more about what their pizza looks like.
the (summarized) drill at PJ's
everything is timed: from phone call to make line to oven to cut to pick-up/delivery
we tell you you can pick your pizza up in 10 to 15 min, delivery wait on avg is 30-35
we take phone orders, online orders, and walk-ins
the make line is where we make the pizzas
when the phone hangs up pizza orders pop up on the monitor above the makeline
the monitor displays only nicknames and characters that represent a topping (ex: P is pepperoni, S is sausage, O is onion, R is olive, H is ham, N is Pineapple...)
we have up to 5 minutes to make the pizza, but really if you don't finish it in 2 you get ribbed on
first the dough is docked and slapped and put on a tray, then the sauce, the toppings and the cheese
in one end of the belt oven goes the freshly made pizza for about 8 minutes
out the other end the pizza is put into boxes, cut and placed for pick up or delivery
