NICOLE COLLINS
and then there was the real me....so really you can google me, im like waaaaaaaaaay out there though, but im on Hope's page =)...
...Hope International's women's soccer team hosted NAIA Region II member Embry-Riddle (AZ) on Tuesday and completely dominated the game, as they won, 7-0 behind the offensive leadership of freshman Nicole Collins (Tacoma, Wash.), who ended the game one goal away from history.
...The half ended with the Royals trailing by 2 goals, but no ones spirit was down because they knew that they had their own scoring opportunities in the first half, with the best chance coming off the foot of freshman sensation Nicole Collins (Tacoma, Wash.) when she took a free kick from just outside the penalty box. When the ball left Collins' foot, it looked like it had a chance to find the back of the net, but the cross bar got in the way and ricocheted it back into the field of play.
Hope got into the scoring act when Collins scored her team-leading 10th goal of the season in the 79th minute. Collins took a pass from fellow freshman Shaunna Drivdahl (Lancaster, Calif.) and dribbled around a diving APU goalkeeper and tapped the ball into a wide-open net for the Royals' lone goal of the game. With Collins' team-leading 10th goal, she brings her team-leading point total to 23 thanks to 10 goals and 3 assists.
